Hi! My name is Kristy Stahmann. I am blessed with the privilege of being the second grade teacher.
I graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College in January 2001, with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Theology and Social Studies. Soon after, I received my Synod certification. My ministry has been primarily in Milwaukee, although I spent a few years in Florida. I have taught all grades from first through eighth, with most of my time in third grade.
I enjoy the challenges that each year of teaching brings and look forward to working with the children, families and staff at Emanuel.
If God hadn’t led me into the teaching profession, I probably would have a career working with animals. I love most animals, especially cats and river otters. I also enjoy country music, board games, playing Sheephead (yes, that’s the only way to say it), and the occasional snowstorm.
One of my favorite Bible passages states: The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Psalm 126:3 God has blessed my life in more ways than I can count. I am very honored to be able to share His Word everyday with my students in the classroom. It is such an amazing and joyous experience!
